Lisa's Story

Lisa is an artist, painter, currently of woods. She arrived back to this point after a circuitous route through installation, sculpture and dry times in between, then started making woodblock prints. How to make money with an art degree? Well, helping others which she likes like very much. She is also a studio assistant (paid and volunteer). She also likes a little designing, a little teaching, a bit of antique restoration, some production sewing, retail work (right?), a sprinkling of bronze casting with an Etsy shop on the side, and of course... Framing! she lives in Rollinsford with her person (and cat), where they have had a studio in the Mills for a bakers dozen of years.

Favorite artist: whew...where to even start?? I don’t love all art, but I love to be challenged and I love some art from all genres...

Favorite joke:

Dark/weird humor esp. about our #@%*! cat (who we love)

Hobbies: Making stuff: sewing with my own patterns, pop-up cards, bookbinding and strange illustrations, camping, birding and being in the woods.
